When will I receive my photos?
For regular sessions, your gallery will be delivered within 30–60 days. Wedding galleries are delivered within 60–90 days. If you’d like a sneak peek, just ask! Sneak peeks are sent within the first 7 days upon request.
What kind of editing do you do?
I edit based on the style you’re drawn to. I do have a consistent editing style you’ll see throughout my work, but I also love switching things up to make each session feel unique. That creative flexibility is one of my favorite parts of the job.
This is my first photo shoot. What should I know?
No worries at all I’ve got you. I’ll guide you throughout the entire session, help with posing, and make sure you feel comfortable. The more we work together and trust the process, the better your photos will turn out.
Can you recommend locations for my session?
Yes! If you send inspiration photos when you book, I can recommend locations that match your vision or find something similar (or even better). Washington has so many beautiful spots, and I’m always happy to help choose the perfect one.
what is a Branding shoot ?
A branding shoot is when you take professional photos and videos that represent you, your personality, and your business in a strategic way. It’s important because it builds trust, makes your brand look professional, and gives you consistent content to use for social media, ads, and marketing. For small personal businesses especially, you are the brand, so strong visuals help people connect with you, see your value, and feel confident buying from you.
Are the photos yours or mine ?
All photos are yours once full payment has been made. You are free to print, post, and share them for personal or business use. However, the images may not be edited, altered, or modified in any way. If there is something you’re unhappy with, I am more than willing to make reasonable adjustments just please do not edit them yourself. You also may not claim that you took the photos, as all images remain credited to the photographer.
Why do we need a contract?
The contract is in place to protect both you and me. By signing it, you’re giving permission for me to legally share your photos on my website and social media. It also includes a print release, which means your photos are yours to print anywhere you’d like without any issues.
How do I book a session?
Booking is simple. Just send me a message on Instagram or text me directly. That message starts the booking process, and we’ll talk through details, availability, and make sure you’re ready to move forward.
Why do I need to fill out a questionnaire?
The questionnaire helps me understand exactly what you’re looking for. Your style, preferences, and inspiration allow me to tailor the shoot specifically to you and create photos you’ll truly love.
How does the session timing work?
Your session time begins when I start taking photos of you. Travel time, setup, and driving are not included in your session time. The time you book is fully dedicated to photographing you.
What should we wear to our session?
Keep outfits simple and neutral when possible. Bright, reflective, or overly shiny clothing can be distracting in photos. Basics like jeans, solid-colored tops, or simple dresses photograph best. If you love a specific color and want it featured, that’s totally fine!
Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes! When you receive your online gallery through Pixieset, you’ll have the option to order professional prints and products directly from your gallery. While I do receive a small commission from those orders, you also have full print rights and can print your photos anywhere you choose.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our shoot?
If weather doesn’t cooperate, we have options. I have access to an indoor studio we can switch to if needed. Rainy sessions can also be beautiful, but if that’s not your preference, we’ll adjust accordingly.
What if I have more questions?
If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out. I respond within 24 hours, and there’s no such thing as a dumb question I’m always happy to help.
Are travel fees included in your packages?
No, travel fees are not included. Travel outside my standard area is a $50 travel fee, and additional locations during a session are $45 per extra location.
How far in advance should I book my session?
It’s best to book as early as you can, especially during busy seasons. I often recommend booking at least a few weeks in advance to make sure you get your preferred date and time.
Do you travel for photo sessions?
Yes, I do travel for sessions as long as travel fees are covered. I’m always happy to discuss travel details and pricing ahead of time so everything is clear.
Can I bring someone with me to the session for support?
Absolutely! Feel free to bring a friend or family member if that makes you more comfortable. It can be helpful to have someone there to cheer you on and make you feel at ease.
